What is the flu, anyway?

Stopping

The Spread

Of Flu: It’s

A Big Deal.

The flu can spread fast. In fact, most people are infected before they even realize they have the flu. Healthy adults can infect others one day before flu symptoms develop, and young children and people with weakened immune systems can spread the flu even earlier. Those infected by the flu are contagious and can feel flu symptoms for up to another week.

What’s more, the flu may lead to complications such as bacterial pneumonia, other infections, and worsening of chronic medical conditions like diabetes, asthma, and congestive heart failure.

Bottom line

Flu is highly contagious and can lead to serious complications. Thankfully, you can prevent it. Catch Every Kid and Costco Pharmacies are here to help.

Pro Tip: You Can

Get Multiple

Vaccinations In

Just One Trip.

While you’re at Costco Pharmacy, ask about other important and life-saving vaccinations such as Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Chicken Pox, Pertussis, and HPV.

Vaccines work by stimulating the immune system so it can recognize when a disease attacks. This strengthens the body’s natural immunity and protects from infection. When it comes to staying healthy, vaccinations are your best defense.
